I finally got to Walmart and got the photos so I could scan them onto the computer and add them to my blog!
I have put some of the sweatshirts I am working on, a few cross-stitch pictures I have done, the pictures on the black fabric are part of the witch's hat that I am working on and will post when it is done and sewn together. Last night I actually got 2 more pieces embroidered! I also have finally added my totes. The blue baby one is the latest one I have done for one of the ladies that my mom works for.
I should have more pictures up soon.

What a crazy week it was!!
Last Saturday was my brother's wedding. My mom and I were so busy the week prior to the wedding we couldn't see straight. The wedding was outside and the weather turned out beautifully! It really was a great wedding.
Now that the wedding is over, I can concentrate on my cross stitch and quilting projects! I promise this weekend I will have the pictures of the totes up and a few other projects.
Wednesday after I was done working at the quilt shop, one of my friends and I went to another quilt shop in Denmark, WI. It is a really nice store, too. Carrie is always teasing me that I like to use charm packs. Well, I found a really cute snowman quilt pattern at this shop and didn't really pay too much attention to the fabric requirements because I figure this will be a project for the future. Well, I got home and guess what!! The pattern calls for a jelly roll and 2 charm packs! :-) I honestly didn't even know that! Carrie got a good laugh out of that when I told her last night!
I also got a little book of the quilt shops in Wisconsin and the surrounding states. Now, Carrie and I are talking about checking out the book and seeing where we can go on a day trip. I'm not sure her husband will want her to go shopping with me anymore!:-)
I have the one baby boy tote almost done for my mom's work person and now I want to do 2 more baby totes. One for my cousin and his little girl and one for one of my supervisors at work. I just found out she is expecting in January. Thankfully, the totes are quick.
I also need to get working on my Grandmother's photo quilt wall hanging for her 90th birthday. I got a call a few weeks ago that the photos are done on the photo fabric and I just need to get over there now and get them and get working on that. Of course, don't we all know that I will be using charm packs for this wall hanging! :-)
We are cat-sitting for my brother and sister-in-law while they are on their honeymoon and I have fallen in love with a stray little cat that is living in their barn. I named him Cuddles because he is so cuddly. I need to put a picture of him up on this blog, too. I know people will fall in love with him, just like I have. He is the sweetest thing and just loves to be held and pet.

Mid-week check in
I talked to my Mom last night and the lady loved the tote I made! Now Mom has an order for another tote! I really need to get the pictures of my totes on here so you can all see them.
Last night I got out of work a little early, so I traced the patterns onto some of the pieces of the witch's hat and will hopefully work on embroidering that tomorrow at the shop. The tracing of the patterns went much better than I had expected. I also worked a little bit on my cross-stitch santa. I had really hoped to have him done by the weekend, but I'm not sure that will happen. He is at least half done.
Even though I have quite a few projects lined up already, I still can't seem to stop finding more things I want to make! I have several cross-stitch things on my list to make now and several other quilting projects lined up. Tonight I will work on the santa again and tomorrow on the witch's hat, so maybe those 2 projects will be finished in the next week or so.
I am going to work on getting the pictures of my projects on here. For some reason the scanner won't scan the pictures from our memory card onto the computer, so I have to take the picture, go to Walmart, get a hard copy of the picture and then scan it onto the computer. I will make an effort to do that tonight!

Beginning of a new week
This weekend I made a tote bag for a lady that my mom works with. It turned out so cute! I took a picture of it and hope to have it posted here sometime this week. Today's project will be to make my brother and future sister-in-law's tote bag.
I also have a cross-stitched santa in the works. I worked on that a bit this weekend and hope to have that finished by the end of the week. I need to make several of these-especially one for my mom since she was generous enough to give me hers to use at a craft fair last year. That was the only cross-stitch picture that sold!
I have so many projects that I want to do and several in progress. I am trying out a system that maybe will help me get more of my projects done. I get to work on projects while at the quilt shop, so I will work on the applique projects there on Wednesdays and any other days that I work there. Then, I will work on quilting projects during the days that I am home. Next, I will work on cross-stitch on the nights that I am home. I think this system should work, as long as I actually motivate myself to do it!
I have quite a bit of things ready for the local Farmer's Market, which I will be doing hopefully beginning in September. I also am going to be participating in the craft fair again in December. I am going to have fabric pumpkins, appliqued sweatshirts, candlemats, cross-stiched bread cloths, scrapbooks in a box, cross-stiched and felt ornaments, and maybe some other items. I need to take some pictures and post them on this blog for people to see. The pumpkins are quite cute and I just learned to make them last year and actually sold 6 of them to a lady without even advertising that I was making and selling them!
So, I am off to get ready for the day and to start on that tote bag! Have a great day!

Projects in progress
Yesterday I finally started on the Witch's hat and I also started a smaller Halloween project. The smaller one is part applique and a little embroidery. The quilt shop where I work carries these cute little projects. I got the applique pieces cut out and fused on and now I just have to blanket stitch them and trace the words and embroider them. Hopefully, I will have that one finished by next week and have a picture up.
The Witch's hat-I cut out several of the pieces and started to embroider one of them. Today I am looking for white transfer paper so that I can transfer the pattern onto the black fabric. I can't wait to get this one done and get a picture up, too! Yesterday, I finally got up the motivation to start this one.
I also have a cross-stitched santa in the works that is 3/4 of the way done. I usually tend to do the cross stitch at night while watching tv. I have so many cross stitch projects lined up and I just need to get motivated to get them going.
My other projects that need to get done are a really pretty quilted tote that I am making for someone at my Mom's work. It is in very pretty pink tones. I am using the charm packs on that one. I just love those charm packs-they save so much time from cutting and they are all exact!!
Well, I am off to Hobby Lobby before I head to Sew Much Wool to work. I am in search of the white transfer paper. Wish me luck!

Rainy Day activities
Wow, we are getting a major rain storm right now! It is blowing and raining so hard you can barely see the house across the drive.
So, since I can't be outside, I am gathering the supplies I need for my next craft projects. Of course, one of them is the Witch's hat. Then there is a large quilt with quilt blocks made up of witch's houses that you embroider. That will take some time. The quilt shop where I work at will be doing this as a quilt block of the month. I also want to work on a few santas and then there are the exchanges that I have signed up for.
I will need to stop playing on the computer and get stitching!

Busy weekend
My brother and my nephew came over on Saturday and gave us some exciting news-they are expecting again and are due in February. I will need to get working on a stocking for the new baby as soon as we know if it's a girl or a boy. Andrew (my nephew) who is 2, says that he doesn't want a baby brother or sister-"just Andrew" :-).
I work at a quilt shop in Two Rivers (Sew Much Wool) and she has a pattern of a witches hat pillow that you sew different patterns of black fabric together and then embroider the different parts. It is so cute! As soon as I get it done, I will post a picture on the blog. I love working on Halloween and fall things.
